So Far Away

Blipping while listening to Mark Knopfler, heck, what a musician. 

The album with this song came out the year Mike and I were engaged, with him in Coimbra learning Portuguese and me doing my last year at All Nations College in Hertfordshire - he bought the tape, it seemed so appropriate - we were definitely "tired of making out on the telephone", which involved feeding a stack of 10p's into the College phone, and not having time to say much.

Walking down to the Lake, a group of Eastern Europeans playing music and having a great time - this guy absolutely whooped when the others yelled at him as they arrived.

Gratefuls:
- that we've never had to spend much time apart since then
- our fantastic support group, which included all our kids this morning (wish we weren't so far away from them!)
- the beauty of this place, so hard to choose just one photo, though!
