Solace Day 12 - Goslings

Making our way along the Trent & Mersey canal we moored at Branston Water Park for lunch. Our favorite place on this canal. It was here that we saw a mixed goose family of the CGGG variety. After watching them for a while I decided the Greylag goose was the mother and the Canada goose the father. I'd love to see how the goslings grow up

Another unusual bird was the heron in Extras. It was standing in the bywash by one of the locks and stayed there all the time we worked the lock beside it. Then a husky came along and the heron didn't flinch. Next a group of 3 children on bicycles stopped to look at it and still, it kept its place.

We turned the boat around this afternoon to head back to the marina.
