A family gathering

This afternoon we had a family gathering with my side of our family: my two cousins S and M  and their families.  We had the loveliest afternoon with never a moment when we weren't chatting and catching up.  In this snapshot pic, I didn't manage to get everyone in the frame.  Just out of shot is the littlest addition  for my cousin S, her young grandson. Under the table is Violet with her hidden-for-the-day toys beside her and the feet and legs belong to my other cousin's elder son. He was the 'lucky' individual that Violet homed in on to play there with her!
There was a sweet nostalgic moment when S shared with me some letters that she had found amongst her father's (my uncle) possessions, letters written by my mum to him in 1948. My mum died young in 1967, yet even now I easily recognise her handwriting.
I gave this pic a poster effect, telling everyone that it would make them not instantly recognisable.  I'm not sure it worked...
