Sgwarnog: In the Field

Mingle

The summer vegetation is starting to spurt up in the meadows and glades, but the spring woodland flora is still dominant; the white Greater Stitchwort has now sprung up to mingle with the bluebells.

It was a mostly overcast day, but there were a few butterflies about: Small White, Green-veined White, Orange-tip, Speckled Wood, Peacock & Small Tortoiseshell.

I think I accidentally flush a Tawny Owl from its daytime roost, but it flitted off through the woods before I could get a good look. Something big and brown anyway.
