Snowball Tree

So nice to see my snowball tree almost in full bloom again. We finally got rain today after 6pm, the first rain I think we’ve had for 27 days! The male and female blue tit have generally been working well together to feed the hatchlings. Sometimes the female sits on them and the male brings back food and passes it to her to feed them. Sometimes they both leave the nest to find food. If the male returns and the female is absent, he feeds them himself and then just looks at them all. If the female returns and catches him about to feed them, she barges him out of the way and snatches the food from him and he makes himself scarce. So lovely to watch them.

Day 776 / Day 67 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
The ONS says that deaths involving Covid in England and Wales have risen for the sixth successive week, with 1,042 registered in the last 7 days. A  Carnival cruise ship in Seattle has been overwhelmed dealing with Covid with passengers saying over 100 people were infected. Dozens of metro stations and bus routes have been closed in Beijing after a surge in cases. Airbnb is scrapping its COVID refund policy from 31st May. The Covid resurgence in South Africa is being driven by two new forms of Omicron, BA.4 and BA.5.
