An Interloper

Today’s blip is of the flowers on a rape plant that is growing in our back garden!! I have not knowingly planted this and so assume it has been ‘dropped’ by a bird or maybe it is from the bird seed we give to our feathered friends!! Once again my piece of black card has proved useful - standing it behind the flowers. The shot in underexposed by 1 stop - otherwise the black card would render as a dark grey card!! I still had to reduce the ‘Blacks’ and ‘Shadows’ a bit in Lightroom.

It is still a lot easier than trying to create the effect in Photoshop by selecting the flowers and dropping on a black layer - even with the fabulous ‘Select Subject’ tools available now!
