Saffron fire

Was a really poxy day in Melbourne today - I was soaked after my cycle into work (despite wearing my sexy waterproof trousers!). Made me feel like I was back in the UK, we've not had rain like that here for a while.

Anyway, while Gina was doing Miles' bedtime feed, she asked me to put a few strands of saffron in the dinner pan. It has the most amazing colour, but mainly I'm always amazed with saffron as it's apparently more expensive (by weight) than gold! That said, you'd have to fill an entire room to make up any weight of these little strands...

I thought that this shot looked a bit like a tiny little fire in a box.

Dinner was delicious. It may be pricey, but it's worth it! :)
