Friday

The last complete day of our Devon break.  Another fine, if a little cooler, day. Colin came over and we went to The View for a morning coffee.  Then back to the accommodation for lunch.

After lunch we drove out to Bishopsteignton, a village just outside Teignmouth.  We had a good wander round and then searched for the cafe.  The cafe is actually a bistro and part of the Old Wells Vineyard, and easier to get to via car than walking, there were some very steep hills!  Anyway we finally arrived at this very nice place surrounded by young growing vines.  Here we sat out on their veranda with a great view over the surrounding countryside and had drinks and cake, well Colin had cake.

We dropped Colin off in Dawlish after a look at the ducks and black swans and then stopped off at the Smugglers Inn on the way home for dinner.

The picture is of one of the pubs in Bishopsteignton on one of the narrow streets.  I've tried to add a little 'oldie worldishness'.
