Friday fun

Playing Blip catch-up, and posting this on Sat - though it was taken on the right day :-)

Luca was really cheery during his day with us: relaxed and chatty.
This week seems to have brought one of those linguistic leaps forward, no doubt reflecting work that the brain's been busy with in the background for weeks.  Suddenly he's experimenting accurately with the differences between 'I have', 'I had', 'we are eating/we ate' etc. His sentences are getting longer, more complex, more confident. Some of his articulation is still hit and miss, but most of it's pretty clear.  More and more, he's getting into maginary play: little scenarios with the doll's house, or with the random collection of toy animals and figures around the house.

I dwell on this, for my own records really, because his metabolic condition (galactosaemia, it's really obscure) can be associated with developmental difficulties, including speech delay. So far, however, no worries.
