Bekonscot

We've had a great day meeting up with daughter#1 and family at Bekonscot Model Village. Grandsons Rory and Joe were however more interested in checking out the water feature at the entrance than having their photo taken together. The village hasn't actually changed much since our previous pre Joe visit in 2018, but it's still impressive and a nice attraction to see.

Afterwards we had a Sunday lunch in a restaurant just around the corner in Beaconsfield. I can't remember the last time we had a proper Sunday lunch out. Those London prices though!! Daughter#1 and I each had a 'pudding wine' with our deserts. Well I had half of mine as mrsfb having tasted it and declared she didn't like it kept sneaking a sip when she thought I wasn't looking.

Yesterday we didn't stay for lunch at the blipmeet as we had to get back for a video call with mrsfb's brother and wife in Budapest. Of course that didn't happen, but we managed it this afternoon after we got home. The SIL is Chinese/Malaysian and they are currently going through the process of getting her a residence permit so they can both return to the UK, via a Surinder Singh process. No I don't know what that means either. She has so far had to fill in over 60 pages of application details, including documentary proof that their relationship has improved since they were married back in 2013. How on earth can you prove something like that?
