Tiny wood anemone

As you can see in my extra photo this little flower has appeared in amongst the leaves of my candelabra primrose.
Many years ago we stayed with some friends on an estate in Dumfries and Galloway, and this little primula was one of many which grew by the river. ( Had permission to dig it up!)
The wood anemone has suddenly appeared, and I am delighted as it is one of my favourite spring flowers.
Perfect for Tiny Tuesday with the theme ‘Something from the flora around you’.
Thanks to Hotamer for hosting TT.

We had a very enjoyable evening yesterday.
The wines from Uruguay were quite an eye opener. Enjoyed all except one.
That was a ‘ Bizarre Extravaganza Orange wine’.
A white wine but quite deep in colour, and also a bit cloudy.
It is a wine made by a very ancient method which goes back 5000 years.
The skins are left in which add tannin and colour. Cloudy because it is unfiltered.
Apparently the ‘ in ‘ wine in London where it is popular. However not popular up here in Yorkshire. We are not taken in. A few of us likened it to “ The Kings New Clothes”. !
Needless to say we won’t be buying any.
Most of the wine produced is drunk in Uruguay. The vineyards are small. And family owned. All grapes are harvested by hand.
So Uruguayan wines won’t be easy to find and are more expensive. Most were £13/15 a bottle.
It was such an interesting presentation by a delightful young lady who imports the wines into the UK. We also found out a lot about the country.
One of the reasons we enjoy being members of the Yorkshire Sommeliers Leeds Branch.
