Vignette of Actual Sailing

Not as planned, to Oban, but about half a mile (a nautical mile, obvs) down Loch Craignish. P&(more obviousky)K were slightly (very) nervous to begin with as they hadn’t sailed, and I knew Oban was not going to be a runner (PT, en route to Portugal via the top was similarly holed up). How they’d be ribbed by their kids. How they’d rib me. And then… blue skies approaching… a window… we did it!
So, we waved them off and the SK and I relaxed in the knowledge that the job had been done. And well done - we had photos! They had photos! And then we strolled up to the local for eats. High fives, indeed.
