Shock of the New

I was in the process of taking a photo of this sculpture when a young man moved in front of it. The result is surreal.

It’s of dancer Michael Clark, headless, sitting on a lavatory made by Sarah Lucas, of Young British Artist fame. And it forms part of this iconic Scottish dancer and choreographer’s retrospective at the V& A in Dundee.

The wallpaper, also by Lucas, features breasts made from cigarettes.
