Flowers from a friend.

These are the flowers which were sent from the Scilly Isles the other day.
I waited until they began to open out a bit more. They are very striking.
I looked them up and they are called
Scilla Portuguese.
They no doubt thrive better in a warmer climate. The Scillies have the most beautiful gardens, and a microclimate to accompany them.
They are situated in the Gulf Stream.
