Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Here we go round...

It's more of a mulberry tree than a bush actually but that doesn't fit the rhyme. Spotted these on the road along to the beach this morning, there were several trees with berries in carrots stages of ripeness. Not surprisingly all the ripe ones within reach had been picked! Talking of Mulberry Bush, my aunt's house was used in the filming of that, many decades ago.
Having had a day off sun worshipping yesterday, we spent the day on the beach today. A bus picked us up and took us a couple of miles down to the coast to the Blue Lagoon which is where most of the Visit Turkey pictures are taken. It's actually always surprisingly quiet there and today was just fine. I had several swims and enjoyed the company of some shoals of fairly large 8-10" fish. It was a little cooler today with a bit of a breeze, so we left at around 3pm and walked along to the town for a cup of tea and some baklava. It was good not to get too cooked.
We enjoyed seeing the moon over Babadag, (extra) the mountain I jumped off three years ago, not as dramatic as it sounds, I was paragliding. Its almost 2000 metres high and goes right down to sea level. https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2574328129212384946 I'm not sure whether I'll do it again this year or not. The new attraction this year is the long promised chairlift to the summit.
