Food for Monkeys

It’s hard to believe that I didn’t taste a banana until I was about 6 years old and that is even though my Grandfather had a fruit and florist’s shop in the New Town of Edinburgh. I remember having oranges wrapped in tissue paper and home grown apples but no exotic fruit like melons or bananas.
Nowadays bananas are a cheap commodity and it is possible to buy a bag of small bananas for as little as £1.

This one was part of my lunch today , easily got at with my wheel chair. My fridge is well stocked thanks to Glasgow daughter but it is boredom rather than hunger which makes me eat.

Meanwhile I am waiting for daughter#1 to arrive from Cullen to keep me company tonight and pander to my every wish…….ever hopeful!
