Aged Airman

I know a good many former colleagues who might refer to me as an "aged airman", but this gentleman was a bit older still.  Manning the RAFA (and Morris Dancer) stall, I grabbed a photo of him while he was explaining something to me, before he asked my interest.  

The chap who runs the local RAFA (and Morris Dancers) used to work for me, when I was a regular.  He has tried to get me to join either or both, but this behatted chap went one better and handed me a membership form for the RAFA.  I'll give it some consideration.

I saw my former colleague later, on the stall, and he awarded me the traditional sticker (Extra).  He was a navigator in regular service, the subject of the photo an Air Loadmaster ("Loadie").

In other news, we received a message from a proud daughter-in-law enclosing a link to a Bloomberg article about her husband.  He is the proprietor of Bark & Jack and runs a YouTube channel on watches – expensive ones.  The article was quite complimentary, although son doesn't like the photos . . .
