Fly catcher

A late-afternoon walk in Happy Valley with MrM. It's absolutely beautiful there at this time of year, with fresh green leaves on the trees and wild flowers in abundance - bluebells, red campion, and welsh poppies (extras) among many others... .

But this web had to be today's Blip. Shining silver in the sunlight through the trees, it doesn't look to have been very successful in catching insects despite the effort it must have taken to build it. You can just see the architect of this amazing creation above the top left of the web.
