Kite surfers

The beautiful long stretch of beach on the outskirts of Corralejo is a haven for kite surfers as are some others on Fuerteventura taking advantage of the winds.

It is quite a spectacle to watch with all the colourful kites and the amazing acrobatic stunts some of the surfers can do. The one in the blip did some of these when he raced out to sea. I have added another 2 in the extras as they came close to shore.

We counted at least 40 of them in the sea skimming at high speed and I just wonder how they never seem to get tangled.

This was one occasion when I could have done with my telephoto lens so I just had to make the most of it with my trusty iPhone. My hand luggage certainly felt lighter this holiday!
