Tenterden Town

I was back at the railway this morning for a meeting of the Sustainability working group and was pleased to find that several schools were at the station taking part in a morning reliving the experience of evacuation.

It was what I was expecting to be part of yesterday only to learn it had been cancelled with only the Memorial train running.

There were several scenarios set up in the station yard, including this one with Swiftsure entering the station in the background. Swiftsure was an appropriate loco as it was built during the Second World War and saw active service.

In the evening we went to Sandwich to see Daphne’s Flight, and entertaining 5 piece female band.
