Bridge over the Snake Pool (widwed180522)

An altogether more successful day today!

We went to Sezincote near Bourton on the Water for a blipmeet organised by Hildasrose.  The house itself is a delight (see extra) and there are a number of fine viewpoints spread about the garden.  As the theme for Wide Wednesday is a body of water I have gone for the Snake Pool and Bridge for my main image.
Also in the extras, the much discussed Urn and one of the fountains.  Best seen in large as ever.

Sezincote is pronounced Seize-in-coat for reasons lost in time and dependent on which source of the name story you like :-)

The history of the house is fascinating - well worth signing up for a house tour if you are visiting.
We decamped to Batsford arboretum for a late lunch where the many merits of Birmingham as a blip venue were discussed.

Thanks to Bobs Blips for hosting.

Well worth a look at the other's blips.
