Making A Splash

#2 Daughter came down to stay with us on Monday for a few days, We've so much enjoyed her company and have been glad of her help. The Garden did not know what we had let loose on it.

This morning we went to a monumental mason to discuss a headstone for my mum's grave. Since I last enquired prices have doubled as our Diocese has decided to only allow British stone to be used, and it mustn't be highly polished.

After coffee and cake at Upfront Gallery, we took Kat to Ullswater for a bit of wild swimming. She hasn't been able to go swimming since she was ill at Christmas. She didn't know how things would go but she loved it and stayed in the water longer than we expected. A picnic on the lakeside was perfect.

What finished off the day well was a call to say that a date has been settled for The Dear Mate's funeral. It will be on 8th June, 40 days after he died. May he then truly rest in peace.

Thank you all for your support over this time.
