Exbury Gardens revisited

Today I had arranged to meet two former colleagues at Exbury Gardens in the New Forest. It didn't  bode well with heavy rain and the  temperature dropping as I drove there. However, by 11am the rain had almost stopped and it was warming up. We had a very pleasant catch up and enjoyed strolling around the  gardens. They both had to leave  soon after lunch but I stayed another couple of hours in the sunshine to have a proper  look at the plants! Many of the Rhododendrons are still looking good and  now in bloom are Pieris japonica (main blip),  Candelabra Primulas, and magnificent Wisteria floribunda (extras).
Compare with my visit on 28th April Exbury Gardens
