Clematis

Continuing my theme of blipping purple flowers, our  Clematis "The President" has just produced its first flower. 
We spent some time today weeding and pruning  in the garden, while letting the  tortoise go for an exploration outside his enclosure.  I was delighted to discover he eats bindweed, but I would  need a "creep" (herd) of tortoises to deal with the  volume of bindweed  rampaging through our patch.
