Woodpecker

Greater spotted woodpecker which has taken to visiting the garden again after not doing so for several weeks. It comes for the nuts hanging off the plum tree and it must have made him/her thirsty so the next stop was the bird bath.

The photo is not really that sharp as I had to take it through a window and that's had an effect on the lens but there you are as these things have to be put up with don't they.

Church this morning and then home for breakfast before necessary jobs needed doing, no not housework on a Sunday, but paperwork and more paperwork and stuff on the computer. All very boring really.

Weather this morning was quite nice with a good amount of sunshine but as the day has worn on it's become duller although it's brightened up oh so slightly as I'm typing this.
