Allium

Jayne was at home today so after brunch we went to Hidcote Manor gardens. Absolutely wonderful displays of flowers as you'd expect and such a variety of colours too.

Quite busy but not too bad. I went online and booked tickets in the 1-2pm slot although I doubt that they were up to their capacity numbers. A couple of coaches in the car park and one or two regional accents could be heard.

I was very taken with the alliums and so they were the most photographed species but so many other beautiful flowers as well and spoiled for choice really.

A nice bonus as always is seeing the great crested newts in the ornamental pond in front of the glasshouse although now that the water lilies have spread it isn't so easy.

Home afterwards for a pot of tea and almond croissants. After that and having read the papers we went for a walk around the village and met a few friends on the way and stopped for a chat and catch up before getting back home.

Thanks for this weeks stars and comments and apologies for not being able to reciprocate as I normally would. Have a great weekend and take care x.
