Travelling to Rupit

We had a very easy journey today.

I had slept overnight at Alistair and Sue’s in Corbridge. The taxi arrived promptly with the majority of the party on board and we had plenty of time at a quiet airport.

The flight was easy and we then distributed ourselves around a large bus to Rupit.

It’s a stone built village, established in medieval times. Visitors tend to come at weekends only. There is no bus service.

Magical.

Our hotel is run by the third generation of the family. It’s brilliant although there is no air con.

I fell asleep on the bed with the room at 25 degrees and it was 27 when I woke.

We had a very high quality meal tonight. Amazing, given how remote we are.

I was too tired to blip. Look out for tomorrow’s exciting instalment!
