A day in the life

By Shelling

Busy

From Wednesday to Sunday there is an ar local art exhibition going on among the local artists on the island. Every artist who wants to participate in the catalogue pays a small fee to get in there. The  visitors get a booklet with a short presentation of each one and a map showing where they are. Usually this attracts people from all over southern Sweden and this year is no exception, the increase in the number of cars has been significant, especially since the whole thing has been cancelled for two years because of the pandemic.
I went to visit one of my friends who is on the art-list, to see what she is offering and to have a cup of coffee. She has an English Laurel planted by her front door and it was swarming with bees and bumblebees and the odd wasp. I thought this picture turned out well so it's todays blip symbolising a busy day, not for me but for the artist, tourists and the island. My day went on as usual, playing, computering and getting hold of some used outdoor furniture for summer. It will need some polishing and oiling but will be nice.
