Llueva Valley

First proper day of fieldwork, or as Phil, one of our lecturers, called it - Dis-orientation day. A whistle stop tour of some of what we can expect, plenty of field sketches and coffee stops and a bit of scrambling to reach a cave made up a pretty awesome day. The weather could have been a bit more co-operative but it wasn't wet enough to dampen spirits. Feel like I've learnt a lot already which is always good.

Today's shot comes from Llueva and demonstrates a perfect example of a U-shaped valley... although it wasn't formed by a glacier and as yet we still don't know how it was formed. This has been a feature of today and I've come away with way more questions than answers. I have a feeling this will be a theme until the end of the week!

Dinner was fantastic as always before we spent the night playing a giant game of cards. Taught the group 'Vegetable Snap' which we promptly changed to 'Country Snap'. It was a long game but loads of fun to do.
