Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Three Guys and a Boathouse

The day got away from me.   Nice slow morning after a good long sleep…a walk to see how things looked after the storm ( 75 mph gusts all day) that came through there on the wednesday after we left on monday.  Neighbors lost big trees with damage.  We lucked out,  lots of branches down nothing major, and our beach “improvements” were still fine.     Philip Glass’ Akhenaten was the last “Sat from the Met” opera.    I think you have to SEE it…it’s a gorgeous work that I”d almost go anywhere to see.  Intended to do something more creative with photos while listening but ended up taking a nap.   Then with the high tide at 5:00 PM we went to get our tin boat that has been stored in the neighbors boat house for the winter.   We almost got it out when we were here last… it never would have survived the storm at the dock so this is a good thing !
Jeff is so helpful….he had it ready to go and our other neighbor Steve had just arrived so he came too…hurray, the engine started ( always a relief altho not a given) and then we ended up at Steve’s for wine and catch up (and another neighbor came by ..they too lost trees from our old lot….)   So ….late dinner... late blip (for me)
Whew…. more social than Seattle.  today anyway.     And tomorrow these 2 are going to go with H (in Steve’s Boat) to get the golf cart batteries out of our car which didn’t happen today. … How cool is that (I don’t have to go:-))

Extra:  another small Gerry oak that came down by the boathouse.
