6233 Duchess of Sutherland

A return trip to base after a recent tour, 6233 idled through the village this morning, heading north. Although she's going at quite a lick and was past in mere seconds she's only hauling one carriage, for stability purposes. She could as easily be standing there quiescent, but she went past purring like a kitten. A half dozen of us waved her through the village, and then for me it was time to go back and prepare Sunday lunch for six. A lovely middle of the day with Greg and Cathy, Brendan and Sarah, and almost immediately it was time for Ivy! Never a dull moment!
