Skink

Kent was up just after sunrise and putting the flag out at half staff and then hand washing his truck. I staked more of the lilies and some of the gladioli.

Kent got started on washing all the bed linens and I did a couple of odd chores like putting a few drain holes in the flamingo that holds the Lantana.

Once noontime came and we could raise the flag to full staff (which we did) we headed out to the pharmacy where we both needed to buy a few items. We returned home and got those put away before heading to the grocery store.

We each had a grocery cart as we each had specific ideas of things we needed to stock up on. Needless to say we both filled our carts and spent far too much money.

I stayed in the house and Kent was the one that went back & forth bringing the groceries in as I put things away. It was wicked hot and humid outside and I would wilt in minutes.

This skink is one of several that hang out on the porch and surrounding area and likes to hang under the cat house and stick his head out just far enough to chow down on some of the cat food!
