Bee

Without seeing its rear end I can't tell what sort of bee this is. Suggestions welcome. Here it is on a persicaria flower. This plant is a mixed blessing. It's very good at establishing itself but it can be slightly too enthusiastic. Not to worry, it can always be pulled up.

Such a relief to sleep less eccentrically last night. In addition, so far, no rain but lovely spring sunshine and no wind. Early online coffee with the Tuesday friends followed by a trip to the hairdresser. This afternoon if it stays dry I'll be walking and gardening. For tomorrow is summer and the spring flowers have more or less had it. Now follows a brief fallow time in the garden before the summer plants do their thing. So really, thank goodness for the likes of persicaria to provide both colour and a bee refuge.
