Compact

A classic alpine plant ... but it's not from the Alps but Croatia.   Compact, very low growing and with great flower power.   Edrianthus pumilio, a member of the Campanulaceae, it's just a few cm high, this seed raised plant is four or five years old and seems happy in the corner of a trough I made when living in Norfolk.   Like yesterday's subject, the flowers have (almost) escaped the attention of slugs this year.

Nice day off.   A number of admin jobs dealt with for myself and Ruth, a lovely meet-up with Holly and little Erica at Wharf and some decent garden clearance done.    Meg and I went out to Rhydyronen again this evening, I took a baked sponge pudding to share and J&J provided the custard :-)

Further thanks for the hearts and stars for Sunday's golden light Blip.   It's been front page of the Popular blips, even making number eight in the line-up for a while!
