Protea

Protea x eight.  I've used my phone and the app AvgCamPro....It took a few goes to get it how I wanted it.  Depends so much on how fast and far I move the camera.  Quite happy with the result, and the colours are spot on, soft greens and tinges of pinks.

It has been bitterly cold - the heaviest frost of the winter this morning, the ground was still white at midday, the clouds drifted in, here the temperature only reached 6 deg.  Miserable, the fire was lit early and has kept us snuggy all day.
A lengthy Facetime this morning with Lexi, she tells me its 19 days until we are in Townsville, she also tells me she is taking me shopping to buy a dress as we're going out for dinner, she tells me I'm having a sleepover in her room, then the next night Grandad is doing likewise., she tells me we're going to learn to face paint and make animals out of balloons.

Settling in to watch NZMaster Chef, following by a program on the Outer Hebrides, which I recorded earlier. She (Dame Darcey Bussell) is travelling from the bottom up to South Uist to North Uist.   I follow blippers who have been to these places and loved seeing the dramatic remoteness of the landscapes and the way of life.  The program is called Dame Darcey Bussell Wild West Coast of Scotland (I think). We never got that far, but spent time on Skye which satisfied me.
