Party Time

The Northleach Platinum Jubilee Street Party was held today and against our expectations the rain held off. Plan B was to move the party inside the church but there is no way it would have held this many people. The blip shows the two ends (east and and west end) of the very long party table which extended along the high street in the main town square. We had brought some sausage rolls and pork pie as the invite asked us to bring something to add to the feast, but there was no need as there was plenty of food supplied anyway. There was a cake competition and so there was delicious cake on offer once the judging was over.

There was a great party atmosphere. We forgot to bring anything to drink but the couple next to us insisted we help them drink their wine.

The extra shows a family who went that extra mile to celebrate the Jubilee in style.

At the end of the event a town photo was taken which will be interesting to see.

When we got home we found there was another party going in our road, but we didn't appear to have been invited :-(
