Oh Well...

I am home.

Dammit...

Anyway, airBaltic combined well with Rīga Airport to make it as painless as possible.

Check-in queues? No. You do not even have to wait until 2 or 2.5 hours before departure. You just check-in or drop your bag when you arrive. A young lad even helped me with the self service bag drop.

Security queues? No. The sign announced a 1 minute queue, but that was a ridiculous over estimate. There was no queue.

It is a busy airport, so do not get the wrong impression. But, it is spacious and did not feel crowded. Of course it was designed as an airport rather than a shopping mall with planes attached...

airBaltic left on time at 4pm, and arrived early. All good.

Edinburgh Airport, however...

The airbridge arrived quickly. The operator made several attempts to line it up with the aircraft door, and then eventually gave up. Someone went to find steps...

The good news is this meant my bag arrived about the same time as I did.

In the morning I had time for a walk to one of the local parks before I had to check out of the apartment. This helped me get a Blip. It is also a caption competition. I think they are discussing the divorce, but perhaps I am a cynical old bastard.

The Extra is one of the apartment buildings in the neighbourhood where I was staying. Ornate.
