Butterfly orchid .....

..... but is it Greater or Lesser?  I haven't a clue.  Just pleased to have spotted it.

We woke to light but persistent rain  this morning.  We had planned a trip over to Ulva, but decided that we didn't fancy it in the rain.  So we spent the morning on some "housework".  It is now clear that we have definitely lost our Irish purchase - the Agent has spoken to the vendor, who has apparently developed inflated ideas about its worth, and is now looking for 40% more!  The agent has told him this is unrealistic - we had suggested a modest increase in our offer - but the vendor is adamant.  So that's that.

Back to Daft.ie, and a new selection of houses perused.  Including looking at rentals, as our current thoughts are to sell, store house contents, and move.

Mid afternoon, the rain stopped, and the sun came out, in a watery fashion.  I wanted fresh air, so ambled down a track to the sea shore, passing through fields full of meadow flowers, many of which I cannot identify.  These (there were several) orchids were in a damp shady spot.

After photographing these, I clambered over rocks towards the sea, but being alone (W was keeping the house warm), and having gone without my phone, I was cautious. I didn't fancy a broken ankle.

Now enjoying a gin (Holy Island - a gift from B) whilst W is making salmon in a creamy mushroom and prawn sauce - smells great.  Hoping for better weather tomorrow.
