(Back blip)

I had to have my quarterly renal panel (specialized labs) for my nephrology appointment next Tuesday. I spotted this potential blip on the way out of the door.

I got the results of my lab work in the evening. The news could have been better. I have been been steady for several years in Stage 3B (my baseline eGFR was between 30-34). See chart in extras. This test sent me into Stage 4. This freaked me out so I’m going for another CBC on Thursday. I’m thinking of seeing my cardiologist sooner rather than later (kidneys have a direct effect on the heart). Kidney function never gets better and the only treatments are dialysis (Stage 5) or transplant.
Wish I was more of a glass half full person.
