Wound up in Wexford

Sisyrinchium

We bought one pot of Sisyrinchium (the tall, cream coloured plant seen in this bed) a few years ago, when we treated ourselves to some bearded iris.  The iris didn't do very well - I think we didn't give them enough space because we really just wanted them as a part of the planting in our mixed beds, and according to Monty, we might do better with Siberian iris if we try again.  But the Sisyrinchium have done very well, and spread all round the edge of this bed - and into the bed opposite if given a chance.

Other than this meander outside, we have both spent the day at the computer - I have been browsing the Daft.ie site and trying to widen the selection of houses that we might consider.

We are still a little under the weather - not helped by the fact that neither of us are sleeping very well.  This isn't necessarily entirely due to Covid - we are both feeling the stress at the moment.  We had been hanging on and hoping that we might get a completion date next week - but that has been getting increasingly unlikely, and our removal firm were needing some certainty - so we've let them go ahead and book other things in for next week, and once the contracts are signed, our buyers will now have to wait on our removal firm's convenience.  Though that shouldn't really hold things up much, as we no longer have to wrestle with the complexity of taking the stuff to Ireland immediately - it's going into store, and will come to Ireland when we have somewhere for it to go.

Our garden is in desperate need of some love - the grass needs to be cut, and there's quite a lot of weeds to pull - we will try to get up the enthusiasm over the next few days.
