This is Why We Are Here

We could not have asked for better weather than what we had today. Moderate temps, nice breeze and low humidity. We left the resort at 8:30 as the first game was at 9:00. At the end of the day we were 0-3 but Parker (blue Jersey, #33 facing the camera) played well, scored, defended great so we considered the day a success. His cousin, who is two years older, played on a team that went 3-0. Drew also had a great day. They both had cuts, scrapes and bruises so they felt good about their performances. Parker’s team has has three weeks to practice together and two tournaments. Most of the other teams have played together in leagues for years. They will play one more tournament but Parker’s family will be on vacation. So this lacrosse season is over. Renee made us chicken tacos for dinner. Hubby and I overslept and missed the happy hour - we needed the nap more. All in all, we had a great relaxing week. Sure hope you found some quiet time in your week also. Thanks for stopping by. “You have to remember that the hard days are what make you stronger. The bad days make you realize what a good day is. If you never had any bad days, you would never have that sense of accomplishment!” —Aly Raisman
