Pavement Marigolds.

A few years ago we were given some Marigold plants. I was warned that they would be difficult to get rid of once established. There were plenty so we planted some for our son in his wall top garden.

They all flowered but ours have never come back despite leaving the heads to seed. We go and collect a few from his wall every year to replant in our borders as he gets so many coming up. He even gets them growing at the bottom of the wall like these I spotted growing twixt wall and pavement on my walk to church this morning.

So strange that things you want to grow often don’t and then they pop up where they are not wanted, I have the same experience with poppies!

The sun is back today but it is still cool.
