Vis Island

Day 2 of the holiday started early, with a lovely view over the sea from Kastela. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and we were off all packed up and on the way on the bikes by 8.30. We were cycling to Split, and to the other side to get the ferry to Vis Island. The first part was nice, along the sea, but then we had to go on the main road for a while. We got to the ferry on time, then had 2.5 hours to relax. Arriving at Vis, we headed straight to our apartment, in the old town, Kut. The landlord recommended lots to see a do, and where to eat on the island. Then we headed to the Harbour for a late lunch, a shared pizza to watch all the action of extremely large yachts and gin palaces berthing for the night. After a short rest, we went back to get the bikes to reach a nice spot for swimming and sunbathing, the sea was fantastic so clear and refreshing. For dinner, we chose a little back street place, it was busy but there was room, an Austrian couple asked if they could share our table, so we had someone new to chat to, as we waited 1.5 hours for dinner!
