The Boats are Back in Town

It absolutely must be spring (although from today's weather you wouldn't think it) if the pedaloes are back on the river. They, along with the blue sheep (which have yet to come back from their winter sojourn, thin skinned beasties) disappear the moment the weather turns parky and then as soon as people's thoughts turn to eiscafés and strolling aimlessly (i.e. without a dog) along the river, out they pop.

Definitely a good thing, as my brother (and our parents) is visiting in 2 weeks time so we'll be able to have a rematch of pedalo vs. motorboat - the pedalo usually wins mainly because the people in the motorboat are the lazier ones and those in the pedalo are determined to prove a point - for me the main challenge is to stop the daft dog jumping into the river after the ducks...
