SILLY SATURDAY - SOMEONE HAD TO DO IT!

Hello lovely Blippers,

Well, what can I say except SOMEONE had to do it and who better than our crazy lady, Mrs HCB!

We were very surprised, just after midnight, when Mrs HCB came out from the lounge and told us all we were going upstairs. We thought she had already gone to bed but she was obviously waiting until after midnight - because, of course, she realised her SIlly Saturday Blip photograph HAD to be taken ON the day.

Once upstairs we went into the spare bedroom and in the corner is a Christmas tree.  If you have been following Mrs HCB for sometime, you will know that these days, because they are getting older, the HCBs don’t bother to take all the lights and baubles off their Christmas tree but Mr HCB takes it upstairs complete with lights et cetera - very silly and quite a palaver but it would make Admirer giggle!

Mrs HCB thought it would be a good idea to try out the lights six months before Christmas – I told you she was a crazy lady! By this time of course Mr HCB was snoring his head off in the main bedroom, so putting all the lights on didn’t disturb him!

It was a real job getting us all organised as you can imagine, but she did it – we couldn’t find the proper angel to go on top of the tree so had to put Father Christmas up there instead. However we did decide that D’Artagnan, the donkey, commonly known as Sid, should have a prominent place near the top of the tree because after all a donkey did have quite a leading part in the Christmas story.

By this time we were getting quite excited but then we realised that it’s not actually Christmas Day today, but it is 25th June, so six months until Christmas Day and 182 days until we can hang up our stockings.

At least we all know that the Christmas lights are working, Mrs HCB is still crazy, Mr HCB still snores and we have six months to learn some Christmas carols although we will not be “decking the halls with boughs of holly” for a few months yet - now that WOULD be silly!!

We hope you all have a great weekend – the weather looks a bit iffy and is raining at the moment – but Mr HCB says as long as it’s dry next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday he will be happy!  He says he is still going out into the garden today to potter or whatever he does out there - we have a theory that he goes out there such a lot to get away from the crazy Mrs. HCB, but shhhh don't let her know that - let her live in  blissful ignorance!

With love to you all from the Silly Saturday Gang xxx

P.S.  It's Donald's first English Christmas, so he's not quite sure what to expect after all this craziness!
