From Miami to Ibiza

Phin woke early (think he’s feeling a lot better and is hungry as chicken and rice doesn’t really fill him up!) but consented to having a lie in on the bed for another 40 minutes.

Spent the morning doing some more squares before a quick shower and out to the pet superstore as we were running out of poo bags and dental sticks. Phin sniffed every bag of dog food and tried very hard to play with the toys but was otherwise well behaved. We took him to Springfield mill for a run through the woods and a swim as it was very hot so I wanted to stay away from pavements. We explored a new path which joined up with the woods at Roslin Glen which was a good find and we’ll go back again.

Quick lunch then I headed to Dalkeith to pick up a dress from the dressmaker and post back two dresses I’d ordered which just don’t suit me. Picked up some flowers and Prosecco as gifts for the hosts of the two parties we’ve been invited to on Saturday. Luckily one is afternoon and the other evening so we can go to both!

Miss PHL arrived at the house after 6 and we chatted before we got ready to head into town for an early birthday meal at Six by Nico. Miss PHL had never been and I think enjoyed it very much. The theme was Miami to Ibiza so fairly Spanish in flavour. So full! It was a lovely evening but a late night and we didn’t get home till midnight. Phin coped well with being left alone but took a while to settle again.

Thanks to BikerBear for hosting FlowerFriday, just a closeup of what might be a gerbera (I’ve forgotten!) in a pot at the front of the house.

Back blipping on Saturday.
