Another one of those them there days . . .

We recently decided to take the plunge and update our Davis Pro2 Weather Station data logger to a WiFi logger, not only making it possible to have the weather station console in the living room with the pooter in the office, but having the capability to upload to the Met Office WOW website without having to have the pooter on (short pause to get breath back . . . ).

Phase one went well (the WiFi extender mentioned in the past few days) but the direct upload to WOW did not seem to be going properly, possible problems interfacing with the Met Office website.  So we created a new Met Office account and pointed the Weather Station directly at that – bingo, both uploads working, followed by a long silence with neither site uploading (the original from the pooter, and the new one direct from the console).  The new one seems to be ok now, but the old one has gone back to yesterday’s readings – doh.  Something wrong at the other end we feel.

(Our new site is “Wendover Close, Rippingale, Lincs”)

Talking of things being wrong at the other end, BT Mail website was down this morning – that didn’t help matters.

Getting back to today’s main saga, the shot shows all three weather screens in sync, Cumulus (on the pooter) left, the WiFi Logger screen next to it, and the WOW website on the other screen.  Somewhere below is a desk which I haven’t seen in a while.

Washing machine decided not to open its door this afternoon – it surrendered in the end thanks goodness, out of warrantee I’m afraid.

And just to round the day off nicely, Glastonbury has trumped Liza Tarbuck and Johnnie Walker.  We’ll just have to dig out some CDs!!!

Now to cook dinner – lamb chops tonight.

And it’s Saturday!
