The track not taken

Normally we and our bikes would have travelled across the Glen Ogle viaduct today on the train from Glasgow to Oban. Instead we viewed it from Mummy hazelh's loaned Volvo, with our bikes safely stowed in the back of the car.

We dropped the car off at Mr hazelh's uncle's house just north of Oban. After a cup of tea and heroic success at tackling the most enormous cup cakes, we cycled south to our accommodation for the night. The Maridon guest house is perfect for us. We have a lovely, simply furnished bedroom, and a great big bath in the large bathroom.

On the recommendation of Mr hazelh's uncle and aunt, we ate at Cuan Mor this evening: prawn and coley thermidor for me, seafood platter for Mr hazelh.

Although it's warm and sunny here, it is also very blustery. We hope that our ferry will still sail tomorrow. (We don't want to be stranded in the 'wrong' place on holiday again.)

Exercise today: ~10 miles of cycling; walking (6151 steps).
