Sgwarnog: In the Field

By sgwarnog

Generations

Morning rain gave way to some sunshine in the afternoon which meant the meadows were damp but there was some insect life about.

Ringlets are out in force now - I counted 40+ on the slope above the beck that the golf course leaves wild, and 30+ in the meadow above the stepping stones. Meadow Brown, Large Skipper, Speckled Wood, Comma and Red Admiral were also about.

This golden pair of Large Skipper were busy ensuring that there will be further generations.
