Inside … all day

It has been a dreich day with the rain causing whiteout at times.

Tonight we braved the elements and took a bus into the city and then another bus up to Mt Eden, where we attended a talk by Dr Dan Hikuroa http://www.tehonongapukenga.ac.nz/user/47 entitled “An Introduction to Matariki, Maramataka and Mātauranga”. It was interesting and thought provoking.  That’s Dr Dan in the blip because there wasn’t any other opportunity to take a photo

There are 7,829 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 5,808 compared to 4,873 last Wednesday. The number of people in hospital is 395, including 8 in ICU. Today another 15 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,503 and the seven-day rolling average to 12.
